Setup

1. How to Setup Click Monitoring Have you installed Mage for the first time? You can download files more easily by using Mage's click-monitoring feature. First, install appropriate support module for your web browser (Preferences->Setup) If you're using Internet Explorer, use 'Install Exclusively' method. It will prevent any unexpected result from occurring. Then restart all running web browsers. That's it. From now on, Mage will be popped up for your download when you click on a link for download.

2. How to Change Default Download Directory Once you specify your download directory in the Download Initiative Dialog or Download Caster, the default download directory changes to that directory. Mage automatically saves history of your download locations for your convenience.

3. How to Configure Mage to Redial Automatically If Disconnected Mage can redial to your ISP when you have been disconnected while downloading. Enable the 'Auto-Redial If Disconnected while Downloading' Option in Preferences->Network. Mage uses your default dial-up connection when redialing. You can configure your default connection via Windows Control Panel->Internet Options.

Download

1. 'Browse...' button in download initiative dialog and 'Save to:' button in Caster open "save as dialog" so that you can specify different filename and/or directory. Remember, All button-like controls in Download Mage are actually buttons.

2. If you're using Internet Explorer, you can download a link by right clicking on it and select 'Download Target(s) as...'. But why does it have additional (s)? Try to highlight some links (by click and dragging mouse around them) and issue same command. Now you can download all the highlighted links at once. If you right-click on any empty space of a web page, another command 'Download Links as...' appears. It lets you download all links in the page. ! The Web Browser context menu is for Internet Explorer only.

3. In Download Caster, you can include or exclude files by using Caster context menu. (right-click on a file). Use 'Include by Type' or 'Exclude by Type' commands to include or exclude files based on their extension.

4. You can press Ctrl+Alt+click to force Mage to download clicked link or Alt+click to force Mage to not download it.

5. In List View, You can open corresponding file system folder by double-clicking on a tree folder (yellow colored).
